Footscape walkers on a custom short break along the Jurassic Coast, Dorset, England, UK It is not always the case that the starting dates of our scheduled walking holidays and heritage tours suit everybody.

Of course, you can choose your own dates on all our independent holidays. But you might be more interested in enjoying the full footscape service and flexibility that we offer on all our scheduled walking holidays and heritage tours - but outside the scheduled dates.

We are able to offer custom holidays, whether short weekend or mid-week breaks or longer holidays, from the beginning of February to early November each year, depending on the availability of our services and accommodation on the required dates.

A wood in the Spring, Walking Tours, Dorset, England UK If you would like to book a custom holiday, please try and give us as wide a range of dates as possible. Some start days are dictated by the opening days of various sites and walks. For example, one spectacular part of our Jurassic Coast trail is only open at weekends, public holidays and for 6 weeks in the summer, since the whole area is used by the army at other times.

For our Sherborne tour, it is best to arrive on a Friday or Saturday in order to coincide with the opening days of the different sites along the route. For our Thomas Hardy tour, you should plan to check in on a Tuesday or a Friday.

If you are a group of up to 5 people, we will have to charge a little extra for a custom holiday, since the footscape vehicle will be reserved exclusively for you. The following percentages will be added on to the published prices of our scheduled walking holidays or heritage tours:

1 person - 25%
2 people - 15%
3 people - 5% (and no group discount of 10%)
4 people - no group discount of 10%
5 people – 5% group discount only.
